Compact Mirrors

All of our compact mirrors are made using a process called lac craft. Lac craft in India is an ancient art and various items are prepared by this craftwork in different regions of the country. Lac is a coloured resin that is obtained from wild trees, and collected from insects that accumulate this resin (not to worry, it's thoroughly purified over fire before and during use, and no insects are harmed during this process!) The resin is molded by hand and all sorts of beads, tin, copper, and mirrors are used to embellish the end product. The more you know!
